xmas babyy.

Well its’s finally here— the season of the year.  And yes, of course, Im talking about christmas, the time of “holiday cheer”.  And while this year being away from college has really enabled me to appreciate the family part of christmas, the holiday still seems extremely commercial for celebrating the birth of a baby.  As a Catholic, I should be rejoicing in the birth of the man who changed the world, and don’t get me wrong I am, it just seems that there is not nearly enough emphasis on the real side of the christmas spirit.  So far this christmas season, I have seen hundreds of people stressed on buying the “perfect” present (since I do work at Niketown, finest retail around), have seen people stressed about the idea of hosting a christmas for a family, and have seen people stressed over baking.  Christmas should not at all be a time of stress, and people just need to slow down and thoroughly enjoy every minute of the season.  Start shopping when it’s actually fun-  do not wait until the last minute.  And as for baking, yes some love it, but if you’re not a baker at heart, hey who knows if any of it is from the grocery store right down the road.  Overall, christmas really is a time of being grateful for family and definitely a time to give.  But if everyone just relaxed a little bit during this season, and if those who believe really celebrate the baby boy, christmas could really be the most magical time of the year.
